INDUSTRIAL PACKING

Heavy plant packed for road, sea or air

Pumps, engines, generators and machinery protected for transport — including abnormal loads, crane lifts and timed site deliveries.

BUILT FOR INDUSTRIAL LOADS

Packing that matches the weight and the route

Industrial equipment rarely fits a standard case. Wickhams Brown designs and packs heavy plant so it can be lifted, shipped and installed without damage — whether the journey is a short road move or an export programme.
We work with steel transit frames, timber cases, foil protection and lifting plans that respect centre of gravity and site access. Our own vehicles can handle abnormal loads when required.
From single machines to multi-unit programmes, the same discipline applies: design first, then manufacture and pack to the agreed method.

WHAT INDUSTRIAL PACKING COVERS

Built for the product, not the other way around

Protection for equipment that cannot be treated lightly

Standard packaging fails when dimensions, handling or route are unique. Bespoke design closes that gap

01

Structural support

Transit frames and case bases engineered for real loads — so the equipment is held, not just enclosed, through road, sea or air handling.

02

Lift & access planning

Crane lifts, forklift points and site access angles considered before packing so the load can move from workshop to final position safely.

03

Route-ready packaging

ISPM 15 export cases when needed, foil and vapour barriers for climate, and marking for clear handling at every stage of the journey.

INCLUDED IN THE SERVICE

From site survey to dispatch

Industrial packing is delivered as a coordinated service design, manufacture, packing and movement support.
  • Design for pumps, engines, generators and heavy machinery
  • Steel or timber transit frames and export cases
  • On-site packing at your premises or in our workshop
  • Foil, foam and internal blocking as required
  • Abnormal load vehicle support when needed
  • ISPM 15 / FC167 compliance for export

HOW WE WORK

From enquiry to protected plant

A clear sequence so design is agreed before timber is cut and packing begins.

01

Assess the load

Weight, dimensions, lift points and destination — including any abnormal load limits.

02

Design the system

Frame, case, internals and packing sequence signed off before manufacture.

03

Build & pack

Cases made in our 12,000 sq ft workshop; packing on-site or in-house.

04

Move & hand over

Load prepared for crane, trailer or collection — with marks and indicators applied.
